The registration papers will be provided; you just need to bring your checkbook!  If you would like to apply for a scholarship please call me at home (888-7474).

The first registration is an opportunity for you to sell or donate Nordic ski gear and clothing.  We have many children in the BKL program who do not have their own gear.  If you have anything Nordic you would like to sell or donate please bring it to the cafeteria on 10/26 before registration starts.  Have all items marked clearly with your name and number as well as the amount you would like to sell it for (or a note saying that it is a donation).  Please remember to stop back at 4:30 to collect anything that does not sell.

The second registration is followed by a dry land clinic with Jim Fredericks and Joanne Hanowski.  Meet at the Golden Eagle Resort Library Room (above the fitness center/pool) at 10am and remember to bring your poles!

Volunteer Opportunities

The SNOC BKL program is run primarily by the parents of the participating children.  Without these parents, the program would not exist.  Many parents choose to volunteer their time as coaches, skiing with the children each week.  There are other ways in which parents can help the club.  If you have the time and see a volunteer activity that appeals to you please let me know at registration.  Remember, you are not required to volunteer for your child to participate in the program.

1.      Parent Coach

2.      Organize a X/C skiing presentation by BKL children at Friday Morning Meeting

3.      Handout rental equipment

4.      Make sure rental equipment is returned (check inside and outside building)

5.      Make sure children stowe their belongings away before heading out to ski

6.      Clean up touring center after program (garbage picked up, furniture put back in place, may need to vacuum, collect items left behind and put into BKL lost and found)

7.      Take pictures for the bulletin board

8.      Substitute coach

9.      Help build a ski park

10.  Coordinate end of season Pot Luck Dinner

11.   Bill Koch 2007 Festival Volunteer

The 2007 Bill Koch Festival will be held at the Trapp’s Touring Center.  Our district is the host and we need the help of many volunteers to make this a success.  Please consider being a part of this wonderful event.
