We still plan to have 5K, 15K and 25K courses but given
current conditions and forecast, we will make final course decisions very early
Saturday morning.
Note: There will be
an arrow at most intersections indicating the course direction.
Start for 15K and
25K: Both the 15K and 25K courses leave the Stowe Mtn. Resort XC Center and
follow the outer perimeter of the touring center. Climb the power line and start up the Peavey
trail. At the intersection of Double
Bit, make a right onto Double Bit. At
the intersection of Bear Run, make a right onto Bear Run. Follow Bear Run to the intersection of the
Bruce trail. A food stop is located
here. After the food stop, continue to
follow Bear Run (also called Old Bear) to the major intersection of Ranch
Camp. See 15K and 25K below.
15K: Sign in with
the Course Monitor before making a left up the Bruce trail. Follow the Bruce trail to
25K: Sign in with the Course Monitor before making a
right onto the Ranch Camp trail. Follow Ranch Camp up to Old Camp. A food stop is on Ranch Camp. Make a right onto Old Camp. At the end of Old Camp, make a right onto
5K: The
5K course leaves the Stowe Mtn. Resort XC Center and
heads out along TimberLane. Take Timberlane
passed Cross Cut #1, #2 and #3 and passed the Wedge. Make a right onto the Classic trail (note
that you already crossed the Classic trail earlier but wait and take this one).
Follow the classic across the Wedge to Peavey.
Make a right onto Peavey and follow to Picaroon. Make a right onto Picaroon then make a right
onto Classic. Follow Classic across Timberlane to Cross Cut #2.
Make a right and then almost an immediate left onto Classic. Follow to the end on Cross Cut #1. Make a left and then a right onto Timberlane and follow Timberlane
back to the touring center.
